PASEO DEL MAR Y CASA PATXOT SANT FELIU DE GUIXOLS

Paseo del Mar. Es un elemento urbano esencial en nuestra ciudad que se inició en el año 1833 con la colaboración de todos los ciudadanos. Este espacio, que se ha visto expuesto a cambios urbanísticos a lo largo del tiempo, se ha convertido en un lugar de encuentros y fiestas. La rambla del Portalet secciona el Paseo del Mar por poniente y el Paseo dels Guíxols por levante. A lo largo del Paseo se encuentran ubicadas diferentes casas señoriales: en el núm. 19-20 la Casa Ribot construida en el año 1904 por Pere Pascual Baguer; en el núm.21 la Casa Sibils del año 1892 obra de Pere Pascual Baguer, en el núm. 40 la Casa Patxot , actualmente Cámara de Comercio, Industria y Navegación, que contiene en su fachada diferentes elementos modernistas y detalles novecentistas imbuidos de un cierto clasicismo. Fue reformada entre los años 1917-1920 por el arquitecto Albert Juan Torner. En su parte superior hubo un observatorio astronómico durante años. 

 Maritime Promenade. This is an essential urban element in our town. It was initiated in 1833 with the co-operation of all the inhabitants and has become the venue for public events and festivities. It has suffered a few urban changes over the years. The Portalet Boulevard divides the Promenade: the Sea Promenade (West Side) and the Guixols Promenade (East Side). Several Stately Homes are located on the Promenade. The Casa Ribot at number 19-20, built in 1904 by Pere Pascual i Baguer; at number 21, the Casa Sibils , dated 1892 and built by Pere Pascual i Baguer; at number 40, the Casa Patxot , which is now the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation. In the latter house, some elements from modernism and ‘Noucentista movement’ styles, which are imbued with certain classicism, can be appreciated. It was reformed between 1917 and 1920 by the architect Albert Juan i Torner. An astronomical observatory existed, for many years, on the roof.  

Promenade maritime. Elément urbain essentiel de notre ville, sa réalisation commença en 1833 grâce à la colaboration de tous les habitants de la ville. Le site, qui a subi diverses transformations urbaines, est devenu un lieu de rencontres et de célébrations. La rambla Portalet divise la Promenade en deux parties: la promenade maritime située au levant et la promenade des Guíxols qui se trouve au couchant. Sur la promenade se dressent plusieurs maisons de maître, entre lesquelles se trouvent au numéro 19-20, la Maison Ribot qui date de 1892 et au numéro 21, la maison Sibils qui date de 1892, construites toutes les deux par le maître d’oeuvre Pere Pascual i Baguer. Finalement au numéro 40 de la promenade, vous pourrez admirer la Maison Patxot , aujourd’hui siège de la Chambre de Commerce, Industrie et Navigation, où l’on peut apprécier des détails en style Art Nouveau imprègné d’un certain classicisme. Durant de nombreuses années, il y eut un observatoire astronomique sur la toiture-terrasse de la maison. Elle fut réformée entre 1917 et 1920 par l’architecte Albert Juan i Torner.

MONASTÉRE SANT FELIU DE GUIXOLS FRA.

 Le monastère fut fondé en tant que monastère bénédictin sous l'invocation du martyr Saint Feliu l'Africain. C'est l'ensemble architectonique le plus important de la ville, et de la même façon, celui qui l'identifie le plus.La documentation trouvée date de la première moitié du Xè siècle. La muraille était formée par treize tours et cinc portes, desquelles il ne reste que deux tours et une porte.

L’enceinte arrivait jusqu'à la rambla Vidal et passait par la place Saint Jean, la Promenade et le monastère. En 1696 elle fut détruite par les troupes françaises. C'est la raison pour laquelle actuellement il en reste peu de vestige. L'édifice baroque du monastère date du XVIIIè siècle. Il n’occupe qu'une partie de l'ensemble milénaire. On peut affirmer que les diférents styles architectoniques se mélangent, du premier art roman jusqu'au baroque. Ainsi donc il est difficile de connaître exactement la fonction de chacun des éléments qui le composent. Actuellement le monastère est le siège du Musée d'Histoire de la ville.

 La Porta Ferrada (IX-Xè s.) est l'élément architectonique qui s'élève sur l'un des côtés du monastère, et est formé par trois arcs surhaussés en forme de fer à cheval, soutenus par quatre colonnes cilindriques d'à peu près un mètre de hauteur. L'Arc de Sant Benet (1747) est la porte qui se dresse devant le monastère et qui était l'entrée à l'enceinte du monastère bénédictin. Les tours "del Fum" (X-XIè s.) i "del Corn" (XIè s.) s'élève au côté de la façade de l'église. La tour "del Fum" à plan semicirculaire est l'endroit d'où l'on envoyait les signaux de fumée quand la sentinelle voyait arriver l'ennemi par la mer et voulait prévenir la ville de la présence de ce dernier.

 La tour "del Corn" à plan rectangulaire était l'endroit d'où l'on émmettait des signaux de corne pour prévenir les habitants de la ville de possible dangers. Sur les vieilles constructions les moines firent bâtir l'église monacale (IXè-XVè s.). La première phase est réalisée en style roman (IX-XIVè s.). Celle-ci correspond à la façade principale de l'église et à la première partie de la nef. Le Christ, bien que d'origine navarraise, est aussi en style roman. Durant le XIVè et XVè siècles l'église s’agrandit. C’est la partie gothique du temple qui comprend le reste de la nef, la croisée, trois absides aux fenêtres à arcs en ogives, les vôutes et les clés de vôutes décorées.
L'église est placée sous l'invocation de Saint Feliu et de la "Mare de Déu dels Angels".

MONASTERIO DE SANT FELIU DE GUIXOLS ESP

Monasterio . Se fundó como monasterio benedictino bajo la advocación del mártir Sant Feliu el Africano. Es el conjunto arquitectónico más importante y significativo de la ciudad. La documentación encontrada data de la primera mitad del s.X. El recinto amurallado tenía trece torres y cinco portales de los cuales se conservan actualmente sólo dos torres y un portal.

 Las murallas llegaban hasta la Rambla Vidal y cerraban el recinto por la plaza Sant Joan, el Paseo y el Monasterio. En el año 1696 el recinto amurallado fue destruido por los franceses, de manera que actualmente no se conserva prácticamente nada. El edificio barroco del monasterio data del s.XVIII y es sólo una parte del milenario conjunto fortificado, donde podemos decir que se mezclan todos los estilos arquitectónicos, desde los pre-románicos hasta el barroco, por lo que es difícil adivinar la función de cada uno de sus elementos. Actualmente el monasterio es la sede del Museo de Historia de la ciudad. La Porta Ferrada que data de los s.IX-X es el elemento arquitectónico situado en uno de los lados del monasterio y está formada por tres arcos de herradura sostenidos por cuatro columnas cilíndricas de un metro de altura aproximadamente. El Arco de Sant Benet data del año 1747.

 Es la puerta que está situada delante del monasterio y antiguamente acceso de entrada al recinto del monasterio. Las Torres del Fum (s.X-XI) y del Corn (s.XI) dan soporte a la fachada de la iglesia. La torre del Fum es de planta semicircular, desde ella se hacían señales de humo cuando el vigilante veía llegar al enemigo por mar, para avisar a la población. La torre del Corn es de planta rectangular y es de donde se hacia sonar el cuerno, también para avisar a la población de la presencia del enemigo. Sobre viejas construcciones, los monjes hicieron construir la iglesia monacal (s.IX-XV). La primera fase es de estilo románico (s.IX-XIV) y corresponde al frontis de la iglesia y al primer tramo de su nave. El Cristo, aunque procede de Navarra, es también románico. Durante los s.XIV y XV la iglesia se amplia, es la parte gótica del templo que incluye el resto de la nave, el crucero, tres ábsides con ventanas de arco ojival, bóvedas y claves de bóveda decoradas. La titular con Sant Feliu es la Mare de Déu dels Àngels.

MONASTERY SANT FELIU DE GUIXOLS ENG.

Monastery . It was founded as a Benedictine monastery, dedicated to the martyr Saint Feliu the African. This is the most important architectural collection in town and, therefore, that which identifies it more. The documentation found is dated from the first half of the X Century. The fortified precinct had thirteen towers and five doors. Only two towers and one door remain today.

1. The baroque building of the monastery, which dates from the XVIII Century, is only a part of the millennial fortified ensemble, where all architectural styles are mixed, from the pre-romanesque to the baroque. The function of each one of its elements is now difficult to figure out. At present, the Town’s History Museum.

2. The “Horseshoe Door”, from the IX-X Century, is the only architectural element which remains of one of the wings of the church. It consists of three horseshoe-shaped arches sustained by four cylindrical columns, of around one metre high.

3. The Saint Benedict Arch (1747) is the door located in front of the monastery and was the entrance to the Benedictine precinct.

4. The Smoke (X-XI Centuries) and Horn (XI Century) towers are at both sides of the church façade. The Smoke tower is semicircular and smoke signs were made from here to warn people when the watchman saw enemies approaching by sea. The Horn tower is rectangular. A horn was also sounded here to warn people of the enemy’s presence.

5. The monks had their monastic church (IX-XV Centuries) built on top of some old constructions. The first phase is of Romanesque style (IX-XIV Centuries). This corresponds to the façade and the first portion of the nave. The Crucifix, although coming from Navarra, is also Romanesque. The church was enlarged during the XIV and XV Centuries. This is the gothic part that includes the rest of the nave, the crossing, the three apses with ogival windows, the vaults and the decorated pendants. The church is consecrated to Saint Feliu and to ‘la Mare de Déu del Àngels’.

En un palacete del noucentisme catalán se encuentra el Museo del Juguete que dispone de un fondo de más de 3.500 piezas datadas entre los años 1870-1980, la mayoría de fabricación española. Su recorrido nos permitirá conocer la historia del juguete desde los inicios de la hojalata hasta el plástico. Incluye salas monográficas, calle del terror y muñecas.

 In a palace of Catalan noucentisme is the Toy Museum which has a collection of over 3,500 pieces dating from the years 1870 to 1980, most of Spanish manufacture. MUSEO DE PLACAS DE CAVA Y CHAMPAGNE / MUSEUM OF PLATES AND CHAMPAGNE CAVA / MUSÉE DES PLAQUES ET CHAMPAGNE CAVA SANT FELIU DE GUIXOLS

Creada y dirigida por la familia de Josep Albó, la fundación-museo tiene como finalidad principal poner a disposición del público de Sant Feliu de Guíxols y de sus visitantes una nueva oferta cultural y turística que permita a todos descubrir un mundo, el del cava y las placas, que tal vez no sea muy conocido pero es muy interesante, estimulante y enriquecedor.

El museo sólo muestra una parte de la colección privada que Josep Albó i Juncà empezó a reunir en 1998. Su colección está compuesta de más de 42.000 piezas, pero por razones de espacio se exponen sólo las placas de más calidad, que aún así superan las 22.000 unidades. Esta colección es, sin duda, la más importante del mundo dado su gran número de piezas únicas y excepcionales.

 Created and directed by Josep Albó family, the foundation-museum primarily aims to make available to the public of Sant Feliu and visitors a new cultural and tourist offer that allows all discover a world of cava and the plates, which may not be well known but it is very interesting, stimulating and enriching.

The museum displays only a part of the private collection Josep Juncà Albó i started collecting in 1998. His collection consists of over 42,000 pieces, but for reasons of space only exposed higher quality plates, which still exceed 22,000 units. This collection is undoubtedly the world's most important given the large number of one-off pieces.

 Créé et dirigé par la famille Josep Albó, la fondation-musée vise principalement à mettre à la disposition du public de Sant Feliu et aux visiteurs une nouvelle offre culturelle et touristique qui permet à tous de découvrir un monde de cava et le plaques, qui ne peut être bien connue, mais il est très intéressant, stimulant et enrichissant.

Le musée présente seulement une partie de la collection privée Josep Juncà Albó j'ai commencé à collectionner en 1998. Sa collection comprend plus de 42 000 pièces, mais pour des raisons d'espace seulement exposé plaques de qualité supérieure, qui dépassent encore 22 000 unités. MUSEO DEL SALVAMENTO MARITIMO / MARITIME MUSEUM OF RESCUE / MUSÉE DE SAUVETAGE MARITIME SANT FELIU DE GUIXOLS

La estación de Salvamento de náufragos de Sant Feliu de Guíxols es un conjunto patrimonial único de materiales originales. El bote y otros artilugios de salvamento se exhiben en su ubicación original en la Punta dels Guíxols. La exposición se complementa con recursos audiovisuales que ayudan a entender el contexto histórico y social.

 Rescue Station castaways of Sant Feliu is a unique heritage and the original materials. The boat and other rescue gadgets on display at its original location in Punta Guixols. The exhibition is complemented with audiovisual resources that help understand the historical and social context.

 Naufragés Rescue Station de Sant Feliu est un patrimoine unique et les matériaux d'origine. Le bateau et autres gadgets de sauvetage sur l'affichage à son emplacement d'origine à Punta Guixols.
