CARNAVAL PLATJA DE ARO 2015
En el Gran Desfile de Carrozas y Comparsas de Playa de Aro han desfilado unas setenta grupos, con más de 5.000 participantes. La encargada de abrir y cerrar el desfile ha sido el grupo Los Pipas, que es la más antigua del municipio, con 36 años de historia. Unos 80.000 visitantes han disfrutado de esta fiesta, una de las más concurridas del Baix Empordà.

L'application pour smartphones et tablettes Platja d'Aro 365, créé il ya deux ans pour promouvoir les services de tourisme dans la municipalité et la population en général, promu par la ville de Castell-Platja d'Aro a dû à ce jour 1752 9034 téléchargements et l'accès de ses utilisateurs. La aplicación para teléfonos inteligentes y tabletas Playa de Aro 365, creada hace dos años para promocionar los servicios turísticos del municipio y la población en general, impulsada por el Ayuntamiento de Castell-Platja d'Aro ha tenido hasta a fecha de hoy 1.752 descargas y 9.034 accesos de sus usuarios. La app es gratuita, y es apta tanto para aparatos con sistema operativo iOS como Android. Una vez instalada, se puede acceder a sus contenidos, divididos en dos ámbitos: información municipal o de servicios.
En el primero, se recogen los datos de interés general más relevantes: playas, patrimonio cultural o agenda de actividades. En el segundo, la oferta comercial, de restauración o de alojamiento. La mayoría de las descargas (67%) se han realizado desde aparatos con iOS, que es la plataforma con que nació la aplicación en el primer trimestre del año 2012. Hace un año, se incorporó el acceso desde Android (33%). Actualmente la app ofrece en catalán, pero uno de los proyectos de este año de la concejalía de Turismo es la ampliación a nuevos idiomas, y también la profundización de sus contenidos.
Las opciones de seguimiento de la actualidad de Castell-Platja d'Aro y S'Agaró se puede hacer desde varios canales. El Ayuntamiento dispone de dos medios de comunicación de formato tradicional el Boletín de Información Municipal, y Radio Playa de Aro. La presencia en el mundo online se concreta con dos portales principales, el turístico y del ciudadano; y los sitios webs de tres eventos: Jornadas Fotográficas, Noches de Jazz y Festival Xalar; y tiene presencia en las redes sociales (facebook, twitter y youtube). También se distribuye un newsletter digital mediante el correo electrónico.
